Care Guide
We recommend washing your rain gear regularly relative to use to ensure extended performance.
Hand or machine wash in cool water with a detergent designed for outerwear. Avoid fabric softeners.
Hang dry or tumble dry low. Avoid excessive heat. Seam tape can fall apart in a dryer, and it is not a pretty sight.

I bought this to go with my Transit rain jacket, which was discontinued and the rain hoods for it were all sold out. This one was described to not fit the Transit jacket. The hood fits great over my helmet and connects at the back to my jacket. The front Velcro-like tabs don't do anything, however by sticking pieces of the industrial strength adhesive Velcro in this area I can easily close the front pieces of the hood now and it works great!

your website and customer support stated that this hood would only fit the newest jackets, but could be modified to fit the jacket i have. it seems to attach just fine and looks like the photos on the website, so i am hoping that it works. i think that it was expensive fir what it is. i wish that it was not black.

Poorly designed rain hood for Elite III jacket. There is one single velcro attachment at the back, the hood seems like an after thought rather than integrating with the jacket. In my case the small/medium recommended by the site for my jacket is too small, but I imagine once I get a large it will need some modification to be useful and waterproof.
Confusing how to attach to the jacket. Will have to watch some tutorials on YouTube.

The on line catalog information concening what the Gen III fits is hard to interpret. As a result the first hood I got was for a leterversion of the coat I have. The associate was very helpful and sent replacement hood very quickly. Additionlly the link up with the USPS web site used to track the order was reporting a delivery date 2 days before the inquiry I made. And at that time the hoods had not been delivered. Again help on thephone was great.
