Care Guide

We recommend washing your rain gear regularly relative to use to ensure extended performance.

Hand or machine wash in cool water with a detergent designed for outerwear. Avoid fabric softeners.

Hang dry or tumble dry low. Avoid excessive heat. Seam tape can fall apart in a dryer, and it is not a pretty sight.

Unfortunately the sizing was a bit small. My fault as I have big chest. Also not as water proof as I thought it would be. Still good quality for sale price

Got this rain jacket to replace my old Showers Pass one that lasted around 20 years or more. I haven't had an opportunity to test it in rain yet, but I anticipate it will be great. Do like the reflective bands that my former one didn't have. Would prefer to see Velcro adjustments on sleeve cuffs instead of elastic to allow more options on venting. I had to return the large and get the XL, even though I followed the sizing chart. The XL is longer in length which will be good, and looser in the shoulder area for more comfort.

Fit is perfect for me. It is snug which is good, but I can fit a layer of insulation under it, and it's stretchiness allows easy movement. Used it in a medium-heavy shower on the way home,
(1 hour trip) and it was great, better than the water-resistant rating, it seemed.

Bought this as a gift and my medium sized friend needed a large. Cycling clothes seem to want to be small, and not just Showers Pass. It wasn’t too much of a hassle to exchange, the large suits him, so all are happy.

Fantastic--wears like a cloth hoodie and waterproof like a hardshell. Only complaint is that the pockets (intentionally) double as vents so they're impractical to use as just a place for your hands or knicknacks. Still my favorite multi-season jacket and perfect to pack just in case of cool/wet weather.

I’ve had my Cloudburst for about 2 weeks now and have been wearing it on my daily 10 mile commute . Good fit, nice fabric, and seems pretty water repellent. I haven’t had it out in a major downpour yet though. One thing I wish it had was some type of hood restraint or way to stow the hood. The hood is so lightweight that it billows around when cycling which is annoying. As a cycling-focused apparel brand I would have expected Showers Pass to think of this but I suppose they were going for the lightweight minimalist vibe with this jacket. Hood does have draw cords so I cinch those down but it still flaps around.

I used to use my basic raincoat as a wind shell for cold bike commuting but it got sweaty after about 8 minutes so I was looking for more ventilation. I just did a 20 minute tempo run in 35°F rain and I was comfortable from starting with no warmup all the way to pushing it coming home. Incredible. Worth the price tag so far, I just hope it’s durablentoo

These jackets perform as described. I already have a cloudburst jacket and have brought the hoodie as I need a hood for ultramarathons and mountain races in NZ. The jacket is really breathable meaning I can wear it year round. Love these jackets.

Amazingly soft and waterproof. Giant vent pockets on the front are a little odd—they unzip from the top so they have to be fully open before you can put your hands in them—but they’re highly functional for ventilation. Rear pocket is handy.

This is a great jacket if you get the right fit.

It’s much nicer-looking and more breathable than the rain jacket it replaced. The reflective details are nice as are the side vents. The packaging also feels premium.

As a 6’2” guy who is slim-ish, I only wish the large was an inch longer. I ultimately went with the XL to get the extra length, but it’s bigger around the chest than I need.

Fits great, runs small. I started with a medium which is my normal size, had to exchange for large!
