Care Guide

We recommend washing your rain gear regularly relative to use to ensure extended performance.

Hand or machine wash in cool water with a detergent designed for outerwear. Avoid fabric softeners.

Hang dry or tumble dry low. Avoid excessive heat. Seam tape can fall apart in a dryer, and it is not a pretty sight.

I was gifted a pair of pants from Showers Pass for Christmas. The pants really didn’t fit well so I tried a size up. This didn’t solve the issue and in some ways made things worse. I was able to chat with their support team about my size and make an exchange for a pair of the transit pants. The patience and effort of their support team was far beyond what one would expect in this current e-commerce world. The Transit pants fit very well. I have yet to use them in the rain but for their efforts alone I recommend buying from Showers Pass

I love my Showers Pass jacket. These pants are great in some ways, and not in others. Based on my fit measurements, I got the XL (I usually get L for most things). The material and waterproofing is excellent, as expected. The fit is all over the place. It fits my quads well, the inseam is too short, the length is much too long, they are quite baggy below the knee. I'm not sure of a good solution--If I was to size down, then the inseam would be unusable. If I size up, the length would be ridiculous. I will probably stick with these pants and have them hemmed a little, but I was disappointed with the fit. FYI, I use these primarily for commuting, so they are going on over pants, jeans, etc. I think the fit would be slightly better if I had tights or bike shorts on underneath. But not perfect.

I gave my son these pants for his birthday. He is a serious bike commuter in Philadelphia. His review is 100% positive. He has had any number of less expensive pants and he says there is no comparison these pants do exactly what they say. Well designed and well made.

Pants are very well made. Design is top notch. They just dont fit my body shape.

Kept me dry so far! Only used a couple times during this most recent atmospheric river, but kept me dry this far. Fit is good over my regular pants for commuting (33-34), and the straps keep the pants out of the chain.

Lightweight, good fit, good waterproofness IMHO needs full zip for putting on with shoes or boots as there are occasions when one needs to put them on in transit.

I’m pleased that these pants are loose enough to accommodate merino wool long underwear. The waist is good, but they are about two inches longer on Neal whose inseam is 29” than they should be for his leg length. We have spent the money in the past to have them hemmed and will probably do so again. Get it done professionally because of the zippers unless you’re adept with the sewing machine.

These work great. I have a thirty minute commute and even in the wind and rain my legs are staying dry. The zips at the bottom let me slide em on over my shoes. I wear 32 inch waist pants, and the medium size fits over them but is a bit snug - I’d recommend getting a large

Very nicely made. Very high quality. Legs are very long. XL is about a 38 waist, but about 6’4” height.

Ordered the large, after the mediums were too small. I think they run a little larger than expected, as unfortunately, they were not a good fit for me. After some initial confusion with returns/refunds policy, a representitive, Evan, contacted me through email and got it all cleaned up in short order. It was excellent customer service. The goods at Showerpass seem to be of good quality, it was the fit that didn't work for me with them. I would recommend, for sure.

My original review was this: At first, I ordered these pants, given the recommendations in sizing, and they were too small. I paid extra for "easy returns", but was still charged another 7 dollars and change to exchange them for a size one step up. The larger size has just arrived, and its WAY too big. Unfortunately, because the item was final sale, I've got no alternative but to keep these pants I will never wear.
My amendment: I was quickly contacted by a representative after posting the above. He was great. The non-refundable deal turned out to be a programming mishap, and the cost of the return an oversight on my part. I loved their quick response and customer care. Five stars for that! Since I never did wear their pants out, unfortunately I can't speak of that.

I was a bit sceptical about these pants upon reciept having never seen them or trying them on before purchasing, but y prior experience with Showers Pass raingear made me comfortable about purchasing them and giving them a fair chance. One I got used to the velcro closuers at the bottom of the pantleg that allows you to cinch them down when riding then extract your leg when removing them as well as how baggy they seemed at first, later on realizing this allows me to easily pull them over my work pants i've come to like them more and more! It was obvious that they were well made upon first glance but the more I wear them the more I like them and realize that like all of the Showers Pass items I have previously purchased this will become another essential tool in my aresenal for keeping dry during rainy season while biking to work, shopping or for fun!

Definitely an improvement from the First Generation pant I bought years ago. Notice the breathability.

I haven't had a reason to wear them yet, as it hasn't rained in my area. Buying experience was good, but not as quick as Amazon. I'm a short, somewhat overweight middle-aged American (5'6", 170lbs, 35‚waist). To get the waist to fit, I had to order the Large size, so the pant legs are about 4-6‚too long. It would be great if they had a wider variety of inseam lengths, or maybe modular velcro leg segments so owners could adjust the leg length at home.

Very positive. When I called a real person answered & immediately solved the problem with ordering.

Wear 32x32 jeans and bought a size large to wear over normal clothes to work and around. Comfortable in jeans and these to at least -10C.

Second pair of your pants. First pair, Refuge, lasted for 5 years of winter commuting and fat biking in the inland Northwest. I have spent 5 days riding in the rain with the Transit pants. Excellent so far, but that was expected. Definitely great gear and would recommend to anyone. I hope to get 5yrs out these, too

This is second pair to replace 6(?) year old pair used daily in Wisconsin year round bike commuting, yard work, camping. The old pair wore very well and didn't owe nobody nothin' at the end of life. Looking forward to taking care of the new pair a little better.

These products don't fit people with high hip:waste ratios (or maybe even normal hip:weight ratios)

Excellent rain protection. I had to return my first purchase because size. Shower Pass made the exchange extremely easy and delivered the appropriate size quickly.

I bought them for my husband's birthday in May as he was going on a cycling holiday during that time so they have not yet been opened

Very happy with pants and jackets bought .

So far, so good. I ordered XL so there'd be room for underlayers. They're a bit long for me at 6'2"/200lbs, but the extra length is nice so they don't ride up on me while I'm pedalling, and they're not restrictive at the knee bend. The other great feature is the breathability-no perspiration trapped on the inside, and they do slide easily over shoes.

Bought another brand, around same price point. Kept the Transit pants and returned the other. So much better quality and attention to details with perfect fit. Keeper.
