Celebrating 20 Years Through Inspiring People to Experience the Outdoors on Bicycles

PORTLAND, OR - Showers Pass, leading designer and manufacturer of technical apparel for the cycling and outdoor market www.showerspass.com, is proud to announce a multi-year partnership with the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) and its Trail Solutions team.  Their mission is to benefit the entire mountain bike community by donating a portion of proceeds to IMBA initiatives.

In Summer 2017 Showers Pass will launch a full line of technical MTB apparel including the IMBA Shorts and IMBA Jacket, with a portion of those proceeds benefiting IMBA. The IMBA staff and Trail Solutions teams will be fully outfitted in Showers Pass Mountain Bike apparel for the next three years.

“We are thrilled to partner with IMBA, local IMBA chapters and the Trail Solutions team.  They share our common core values of trail stewardship and advocacy,” says Kyle Ranson, Showers Pass President. “Having the opportunity to partner with such a wonderful organization is very exciting, especially since we share a mutual goal of enabling the pursuit of outdoor adventure, this is a seamless collaboration.”

IMBA’s mission is to create, enhance and protect great places to ride mountain bikes. Since 1988, the non-profit educational association and its 200+ local chapters have advocated for mountain bike access and IMBA chapter volunteers build and maintain trail networks across the country. IMBA’s professional Trail Solutions staff excels at planning, design, construction, and management of trail systems that provide high-quality riding experiences while minimizing environmental impacts.

“The partnership with Showers Pass couldn’t have come at a better time for IMBA. Not only do we share many of the same goals, but as organizations we are both evolving into a new generation of mountain biking and mountain bike culture. Our entire team is thrilled to put the Showers Pass gear to the test,” says Aimee Ross, IMBA Director of Business Development.

In addition, Ranson mentioned, “The IMBA Trail solutions crew will provide the optimum rugged environment to test and collaboratively develop new MTB apparel with our team in the coming years.”

Showers Pass debuted part of the new summer mountain bike collection at the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, CA in April of 2017.
